Winter League 2026 – Division 2

The Winter League returns in January 2026 and will feature two mixed divisions. Teams entering division 2 will need to ensure they can play at least two women on the field at all times and will get a bonus match point for three women. To avoid any doubt, this does not include junior players of any age, unless agreed between the teams. If they cannot field 2 women, they will need to forfeit the game 5-0, but can still play the game as a friendly. Teams will also be required to name their squads for the season and players will be expected to only play for one mixed team in division 2 during the season. In exceptional circumstances loan players may be permitted. A taster / refresher session will take place on Monday 12 January 2026, with league fixtures from Monday 19 January 2026. It is expected that there will be 10 weeks of league fixtures with teams playing each other twice. Subject to no cancellations of fixtures, there may be a final play-off. The last games will be on Monday 23 March 2026. Due to an enlarged league, matches will be played in three slots at 20:05, 20:45 and 21:20 hrs each week.
